Dana Point, California, yacht broker Ed Fitzgerald disappeared in July, 2009, with more than 1.5 $ million owed to friends and people who trusted him. The author, a local newspaper columnist was appalled that so many victims were hurt, especially single moms and elderly folks. In this book, he explained Fitzgerald’s disappearance.  He was on the lam for 4 years. The book was updated July 29, 2015 with BIG news!  On July 27, 2015, in Orange County Superior Court, he pleaded guilty to 84 felonies and was sentenced to 7 years in state prison in a plea agreement with the judge. The author concludes this Ponzi story in Chapter 8, titled, "The Rest of the Story." It is a white-collar-crime-does-not-pay ending to this six year saga. Case closed.
