the situation differently. ... They start to say, `Wow, being single is not so bad,'" said Tom Blake, the author of two books on dating after 50 and a column available

"I've interviewed someone who said, `I've been single and unhappy, and I've been married and unhappy, and being single and unhappy is better,'"
